His Glass of Milk · Beth Evans
Ice Cold Milk
poem by
Beth Evans
I poured the milk in the glass
You like it cold
You like it ice cold
The milk should be colder
I poured the ice in the bowl
I poured more and more ice in the bowl
I placed the glass in the centre of the bowl
Will the milk be cold enough?
Will the milk be cold enough for him?
Will the cold milk melt you?
Will it daddy?
Will the cold milk make you love me?
I want you to love us daddy
I want the cold milk to make you love us
I want the cold milk to make you stay
Please
Stay
