In the Gods Garden · Justyna Zaklina Dunal
Gods Garden
poem by
Atlas Dunal
The gods' garden was a wonder.
It held stained glass murals held up by ivy coated beams, The setting sun sending its light through its coloured glass pieces.
They waved in the breeze, scattering warm refracted light dancing on my skin.
I reached to them, framing them in my outstretched hand.
They were gentle, and the chimes spoke kindly.
It told me I could stay, and I would as it preached.
Their song filled the air with honey sweet nectar, I was held tranced in its gentle tones.
Day by day, despite the beating sun and harsh winds, they never faded. I lay where I rest, soaked in its perfection.
