Moth Girl Reflection · Christine Deschenes
Moth Girl Reflection(Artwork Reflective Writings)
poem by
Christine Deschenes
After the struggle comes inner silence. With eyes closed and hands clasped, surrounded by fiery wings,
Reflection evokes the peace found within the noise. communicate peace, acceptance, and inner alignment
There is a tranquil space inside of me where introspection feels sacred. There, I am finding peace and strength
even though outer turbulences and noises exist. A balance between vulnerability and resilience, lightness and
grounding. That is where resilience turns into a powerful tool.
Notes about Metamorphosis Series:
In this series I explore the experience of transformation — the constant movement of life, its impermanence, and
our deep need to stay grounded through it all.
Moth-Girl is a recurring symbolic figure in my work — an embodiment of vulnerability, transformation, and the
search for inner light. Through this ongoing series, I explore the liminal spaces between silence and self-
expression, fear and becoming, fragility and strength. Drawn toward the light, Moth-Girl gradually discovers that
she carries it within herself.
