Pixels
poem by
Atlas Dunal
I could count the pixels on a screen
Each one lit with a memory,
A mirage of a person
That maybe once had loved me,
And with each frame
It is replaced with something new,
Another hex,
And only I remember
How once it had meant something to me,
And every time I count again
A thousand times
I forget,
A pixel is only a light
