Sculpture is my way of exploring human experiences, emotions, and our relationship with the world around us. I primarily work with metal, bronze, and wax, materials that embody opposing qualities and reflect the tensions within human existence.

I am drawn to the resistance of metal, finding satisfaction in bending rigid forms and transforming hard surfaces into expressive human faces. In contrast, wax offers softness and immediacy; it responds intuitively to touch and preserves the traces of transformation. Through these materials, I explore the balance between strength and vulnerability, permanence and impermanence, presence and disappearance.

My practice examines processes of change, fragility, and resilience, using the transformation of materials as a reflection of the human condition.

Sara was born in Iran. After graduating from medical school in 2018, she moved to Barrie, Canada, where she began pursuing her lifelong passion for sculpture. To build a strong artistic foundation, she completed a diploma in Art and Design Fundamentals at Centennial College.

In 2021, she relocated to Toronto to study Sculpture and Installation at OCAD University. Alongside her work in sculpture and installation, she has expanded her practice to include performance art and printmaking.

More recently, she has been collaborating with Arterial Art Gallery.
