Toronto-based artist Young Hee Sung presents a collection of paintings inspired by people, places, memories, and everyday encounters. Through layers of countless brushstrokes, lines, and colors, she transforms ordinary moments into richly textured visual experiences.

Whether depicting a quiet street, a passing visitor, a landscape, a garden in bloom, or a moment of reflection, her works invite viewers to pause and discover beauty within the density of contemporary life. Individual marks accumulate into larger forms, revealing connections between memory, place, and human experience.

Young Hee Sung is a Toronto-based visual artist, founder of Laird Art Gallery, and creator of ekphra, the platform behind Art Meets Word, an international initiative that brings visual artists and writers together through contemporary ekphrasis.
