GameJamo Drop
About this work
Jamo Drop began at home. Young Hee Sung, an artist and mother of five, created it to help her younger children learn to read Korean through play. Inspired by falling block games like Tetris, Jamo Drop invites you to turn and combine Hangul letters into syllables and words. No prior knowledge of Korean is needed. A Toronto-based painter and director of Laird Art Gallery, Sung independently develops ekphra.com alongside her Art Meets Word project. She approaches games as an extension of her art, exploring new ways for people to encounter images and language. This is an evolving work, created independently with AI assistance. Your experiences and suggestions will help improve the game and encourage further creative experiments.
